We have today received some information through from Coventry Libraries regarding some creative writing sessions at the end of the month. The session are free so please see the attached flyer for further details.
Christmas Appeal - 2018
Thank you to everybody who contributed to our Christmas Appeal for the local community.
Today staff and our Head boy and Head girl visited Valley House to present the gifts kindly donated.
The CEO of Valley House was on hand to take receipt of our gifts. She was thrilled to receive the donations and advised that it is so kind of our families to help and support others at this special time of year.

Christmas Stay and Play
We have really been getting into the festive spirit in Reception! On Thursday 6th December, we enjoyed our Christmas Stay and Play sessions. During the morning or afternoon, our families came and joined us in our classrooms and we had great fun taking part in lots of different Christmas activities in RA, RB and Nursery.
Thank you parents and carers for supporting this event – a thoroughly great time was had by all!
Staff Bake Off
Friday 16th November
Today we have held a ‘Bake Off’ for the staff of the school. This was in addition to all of the exciting events for Children in Need. The event was well received with lots of staff and governors making a contribution. The overall winner was Laura Kelly our Learning Mentor who made a fantastic chocolate cake!
This event raise a great £106 for a special charity supported by the staff of the school.
Well done Mrs Kelly we are already looking forward to next year!
Children in Need
Friday 16th November
Today has been a non uniform day in school in support of children in need. All classes have taken part in a cake sale which ended with parents supporting the event at the end of the school day. I am pleased to announced that we raised £766.00 so a big thank you to all those that contributed and made the event so successful.
A big thank you aswell to our Families Team who ran this event so smoothly and made the day so enjoyable for the children.
Monday 12th November
Today the children of Stoke Heath Primary School took part in a Remembrance Day service lead by our Headteacher Louise Kelman. Some of our Year 6 children read poems and a minutes silence was observed by all children and staff.
Our staff have made a remembrance plaque and this will be used in the future to remember an honour the service men and women who have served our country.
The children were all extremely well behaved so a big thank you to them all for their contribution to the event.

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Team
1st November 2018
This week two Coventry Blaze players came into school to do assemblies with KS1 and KS2, they discussed healthy eating and looked at the different food categories with the children.The children enjoyed learning about what professional sports people need to eat.
Big thank you to Coventry Blaze for taking time out to visit our school and talk to the children on two different occasions about their sport.
Year 5 Music Lessons
30th October 2018
Today our Year 5 children started their music lessons. This year both classes will be learning to play the Ukulele. The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning to play this new instrument and we are looking forward to seeing their progress over the year.

Walk A Mile!
17th October 2018
We have today completed our first walk a mile event. Our gates opened at 8.25 where lots of parents, children and staff were eager to join in with this exciting new activity. Children were asked to try and complete seven laps of the playground which is one mile. The benefits of this start to the school day are proven to improve both health, well being concentration and readiness for learning.
Our next walk will be on Wednesday 31st October and we look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!
Friday 12th October 2018
Today our Year 3 and 4 children visited the AT7 centre for a football competition. We entered two teams into this competition. Our Team 1 Drew two matches and lost one and our Team 2 lost their three matches.
Both teams played really well and represented the school extremely positively. Well done to all those that took part, they really enjoyed the event and worked really hard!
